Welcome to PowerHouse Academy of the Arts! We’re excited to have you join our community. Below you’ll find important information to guide you as we begin the new term.

 

Key Dates

  • Term Start Date: Monday, January 12th, 2026

  • Term End Date: Sunday, March 22nd, 2026

Uniform Collection:
 

  • Wednesday, January 7th | 5:00–7:00 pm​

  • ​Saturday, January 10th | 10:00 am–1:00 pm

     

Ballet Placement Sessions (for students with prior ballet experience):
 

  • Ages 6–10: Thursday, January 8th | 5:30–6:00 pm

  • Ages 11+: Thursday, January 8th | 6:15–6:45 pm

Payment & Spot Confirmation:

⚠️ Your spot is only confirmed once payment (full or deposit) has been received.

 

Payment Deadlines:

  • Initial Payment: Full payment or at least 50% deposit is due on or before January 12th, 2026 (first day of term).

  • Final Balance: Any remaining fees are due by January 31st, 2026.

After completing your payment, please send us your payment confirmation:

 

Refunds & Cancellations:

  • Deposits are refundable only if the student has not attended any classes.
     

  • Once classes have been attended, fees are non-refundable.
     

  • If the Academy cancels a class or program, affected students will receive a refund or credit.
     

 

Policies & Expectations:

​

  1. Attendance: Regular attendance ensures consistent progress. Please notify us if you/your child will miss a class.
     

  2. Punctuality: Arrive on time so classes can begin promptly.
     

  3. Respectful Conduct: Students are expected to show respect to teachers, peers, and studio spaces.
     

  4. Uniform & Dress Code: Proper attire is required for all classes (see attire details below).
     

  5. Communication: All updates will be shared via email, WhatsApp, and our official WhatsApp channel.
     

  6. Payment Plans: Payments are due as outlined above. If an alternative payment plan is needed, please contact us in advance.

 

Students should bring a refillable water bottle to every class to stay hydrated.
 

 

Attire & Uniforms:

​

Ballet: 

  • Pre-Ballet (Ages 3–5): Flutter sleeve dress, ballet shoes, ballet socks
     

  • Kids Ballet (6–10): Flutter sleeve dress, ballet tights, ballet shoes
     

  • Teen & Adult Ballet: Black leotard, ballet tights, ballet shoes (optional black chiffon skirt)
     

Modern:

​

  • Modern Kids, Modern Teens & Baby Steppers: Emerald leotard, black tights/leggings, no shoes required
     

  • Afro-Caribbean (Juniors & Adults): Black leotard and tights/leggings with African print wrap (Adults: fitted black top may replace leotard)
     

  • Hip Hop: Comfortable clothing, sneakers (not outside shoes / soles must be cleaned). No jeans or skirts.
     

  • Aerial Yoga: Fitted clothing, no jewelry, zippers, or sharp objects (to protect silks)

  • Other Classes: Comfortable clothing (no jeans)
